Between visits
Looking after locs at home
What we show clients before they leave, in one place.
Every head of locs is different, so this is a starting point. We'll adjust it for your pattern, your method and your week.

Six habits we talk about
Wash on a rhythm
Wash as often as your scalp and your style need, and agree a schedule with us. We'll say when to wait after a new set.
Dry them through
Wet locs that stay wet can hold a smell. Dry them with a towel, then air or under a dryer until they're dry through.
Cover at night
A satin scarf, bonnet or pillowcase cuts down on friction and lint.
Go light on product
Heavy creams and waxes can build up in locs. Ask us what we'd use on yours, and we can tell you every product we use.
Leave them be
Locs settle on their own time. Twisting them yourself between visits can loosen a pattern we set, so ask before you start.
Tell us how they feel
A tight spot, a tender scalp or a loc that's loosening: text us a photo and we'll say whether a visit would help.
